Platypus, celebrated 10 years of business by inviting brands from across the UK to join them in their FREE insights conference at Unity Works in Wakefield earlier this month.

Crayola, Eureka, Wellcome Trust, DC Thomson, playrite, and 2 Sisters Food Group are some of the big brands who attended the conference, which also saw Psychologist Adam Galpin answering questions as part of the panel discussion.

An average satisfaction score of 8.7/10 highlights what a fantastic conference it was, with members of the Platypus team Jo Cliff, Kate Siddall and Karen Chaudhari all being praised for their quality, delivery and content of presentations. One conference attendee praised the team and stated that the event was; “…friendly, insightful, interesting and very useful to learn new ways of talking and interacting with children.”

The topics were varied, but at the core was the focus on REAL kids and families and how companies should understand their needs in order to create products and services to suit today’s customers and consumers in what is renowned for being a challenging target market.

As well as the presentations and panels there was also a great opportunity to catch up with industry comrades in a relaxed and fun environment, as attendees enjoyed birthday cake, colouring in, play-doh and party games.Speaking of the event, Platypus MD Jo Cliff said; “Following on from the success from the conference the team are looking forward to taking the content ‘on tour’ around the UK as we meet up with both current and potential customers and partners over the coming months.”

Platypus works with a wide ranging client base – from large brands to small start ups, to help them connect to and understand their audience and guides them in the design and improvement of programmes, adverts, services, brands and products. The company also conducts workshops to help bring teams together and to innovate and plan future strategies.
